End of Korea/HongKong trip post

This will be the last post for our Korea/HongKong trip... Hahaha... HK got nothing new to post abt and our stay there is so short, effectively only like 1 full day nia. If i am not wrong is my 7th visit to the eastern oriental.

Seoul Day 7 and 8 - Apgujeong, MD and Lotte Mart

The last 2 days in Seoul! Basically is to buy the things we missed out. Went to the high class place of Seoul - Apgujeong. It's similar to Paragon, all sell those atas brand.

After walking for like 15 mins from the station we reached the Galleria, but then we realised that the stuffs are all branded so not very suitable for us then we decide to go to Myeongdong again! This time is to do last min shopping and to buy those things we missed out.

After our small meal, we went to lotte mart to buy our korean snacks so tat we can bring back SG. haha. We even took boxes from the super mart. I think i nvr buy enuf to distribute, cos i got no hand to bring all back! We tot can buy kimchi back but all of them must be kept in fridge so we nv buy at all.

The next day, reen's 'korean' fren came to meet us and brought us to eat ginseng chicken. The same one we went when we visited the palace. It was very nice of her to treat us and i finally got the chance to eat the 烧鸡 i missed out on our 1st visit! Thx!

Then we took taxi to Shilla hotel and change the airport shuttle. This shuttle is good loh though is more exp but i guess is worth it! Look at the seats, i slept though the whole journey to Seoul International Aiport.

With tat our Seoul trip ended! Ask me if i will go again? Only for skiing i guess and to visit Jeju Island!

Seoul Day 6 - 梨大, 弘大 and MD

Back to Seoul from Jeju, missed the kind and polite Koreans there! haha also the awesome scenery! and most of all is the bed! cos we dun nd to squeeze! Today we went to visit the places where young ppl gather most! These 3 unis are 新村，梨大 and 弘大. There is another place call 大学路 which we nvr visit and is diff from these 3 uni streets.

Our 1st stop is 弘大 and it has the biggest "freemarket" in seoul. They call it freemarket but things are not free! hahah... It's just diagonally opp 弘大 quite easy to find, if not just follow the crowd. Korean really like Coffee cos they really got a lot of diff cafe...

Though the free market is not big we stayed there for ard 2 hours! Why? cos every single stall is different. So we almost stopped for every single one of them. hahah the things they sell is really nice, most of it are small small items, accessories etc... Then we slowly follow the crowd and shop shop in 弘大. After the shopping, we had a long walk to coffee prince cafe!

After relaxing we proceed to 梨大, i expect to see more 美女 at 梨大 cos is a gals sch! hahaha but i nvr :( However we had more 收获 there and we skipped 新村 cos no time liao and also we tired. Then we moved on to MyeongDong again!

Another aggressive night at MD cos we bot a lof last min 手信 haha. Then we are too tired and also hungry so we anyhow went to a porridge shop and dine. The porridge normal onli still lose to out apt there the one.

Jeju Island - Day 3

Our last day in Jeju Island and we finally got time for breakfast liao! Cos today we hire a chinese speaking tour guide with car for 5 hours at 150kwon (SGD176) to bring us ard so dun need so rush. We load all our luggage into the car cos the tour guide is sending us to the airport at the end of the tour. The deal is quite good also cos we can choose wherever we wanna go within the 5 hours.

The 1st stop is to a crater call Sangumburi Crater. The crater is really deep and is all covered with grass and plants. We can only walk ard the rim of it. Also from the crater we can see Mt Halla, Korean call it Hallasan 汉拿山.

2nd stop we went to the Trick Art Museum. It's a newly opened attraction so the tour guide recc us to go. Is indeed very interesting loh we spend like 1.5 hrs there taking pics!

We then went to a small folk village to buy 五味子蜜. It's the 特产 of Jeju Island but is not cheap, one bottle is 30k won (SGD36). The village actually nothing much to see but we saw the black pig!

After the folk village we headed to the mysterious road. I took some video but dunno why can't upload them. The road defy gravity loh! Our car went uphill in neutral gear! Amazing loh. Then we requested to go and buy some Jeju 特产 so she drove us to a shop and buy.

Then we went to a beach near the airport cos still early! 吹海风 also very nice!

The flight duration from Jeju to Seoul is 1 hr, we met whole lot of students on the plane! They sibei noisy loh, just like our sec sch excursion! This budget domestic air got serve free drinks! unlike ours loh!

After we rest awhile we went out for dinner! This time is to 陈玉华鸡锅店. This is recc by the 天书. The verdict is : cannot be missed! This shop is not very far from our apt also walk ard 10-15 mins. We ordered like 2 chicken if i dun rem wrongly. The soup is nice and we can add noodles into it. The waitress also help us to cut the chicken into pieces and also help us make mix the chilli paste for personal use.
